The Body Shop Bunny Soap Review

Happy hump day everyone. Today is Wednesday and coincidentally, I’m wearing Pink! I’m telling you this because Regina told me to do so or else, I can’t sit with her. Let’s slice the week with a The Body Shop Bunny Soap review.

I stopped buying from The Body Shop because there’s simply a lot of cheaper alternatives.

However, if I get the products for free, I’ll definitely make a review!

How very chismosa of you Amanda.

Without further ado, here’s…

The Body Shop Bunny Soap Review by Amanda of Filipinow

I received 2 variants of The Body Shop’s Bunny Soaps from my aunt who visited the Philippines from Australia.

She gave me 3 pcs., 2 of which are Moringa and the other, Strawberry.

Both soaps have a cute bunny shape and I’ve read online that these are of limited edition.

Apart from the quirky shape, these fragranced soaps are 100% Vegan and Cruelty-Free; meaning, no product was tested on animals and the ingredients don’t include anything from animals.

Let it be known that both Moringa and Strawberry variants are drying and will give you a squeaky-clean feeling.

If you’re not into that, definitely skip this one.

The Body Shop Moringa Soap Review

The Body Shop Moringa Soap

Color of the soap is solid yellow.

Scent strongly gives an oriental flower whiff. I’m not entirely sure but it smells of cotton and jasmine with some wood notes.

I’d best describe the fragrance as calming rather than energizing or cleansing.

Moringa is known to be a good antioxidant and this soap promises to get rid of free radicals which in turn gives you a more youthful skin.

Ingredients:

CI 15510/Orange 4, Etidronic Acid, CI 77891/Titanium Dioxide, CI 19140/Yellow 5, Geraniol, Tocopherol, Sorbitol, Moringa Pterygosperma Oil/Moringa, Pterygosperma Seed Oil Hexyl Cinnamal, Glycerin, Benzyl Salicylate, Water, Tetrasodium EDTA, Linalool, Citric Acid, Coconut Acid, Glycine Soja Oil/Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Sodium Palm Kernelate, Triethanolamine, Sodium Palmate, Fragrance, Butylphenyl Methylpropional

My Experience

  • Lathers well
  • Pleasantly scented
  • Cleanses adequately
  • Can be a bit drying
  • Skin itches without a lotion after using this
  • Fragrance doesn’t linger on the skin for a long time
  • No noticeable changes on the skin after a week
  • No skin peeling

Let’s continue The Body Shop Bunny Soap Review with…

The Body Shop Strawberry Soap Review

Soap’s look reminds me of a red gelatin.

If you know how a Kool-Aid strawberry smells like, this variant delivers the same whiff.

You’ll surely have an energizing experience when you try this.

Strawberry is rich in Vitamin C and this soap can lighten your skin if used for an extended amount of time.

Ingredients:

Fragaria vesca, Aqua, Sodium Palm Kernelate, Limonene, Tetrasodium Etidronate, Sorbitol, Palm Kernel Acid, Citral, CI 14700, Glycerin, Sodium Palmate, CI 17200, Parfum, Tetrasodium EDTA, Linalool

My Experience

  • Scent is yummy
  • Lathers well
  • Leaves a squeaky-clean feeling
  • Can be drying
  • Skin will itch without a lotion after use
  • Scent won’t linger on the skin for a long time
  • No skin-whitening effect after a week
  • No skin peeling

The Body Shop Bunny Soap Review Final Words

As much as I loved the gimmicky experience, I don’t think these are worth the price tag of 12 USD per 100g.

I find that there are much better soaps in the market that cost way less and have better ingredients and formulation.

  • Packaging: 2/5 (Vegan and Cruelty-Free but wrapped in plastic. What about the environment sishters?)
  • Efficacy: 2/5
  • Price: 2/5
  • Availability: 2/5

I hope I didn’t ruffle some feathers with this The Body Shop Bunny Soap Review. If you liked this one, please share it on your timeline.
