Mentholatum Lip Balm Review

One of the upsides of being gullible to the call of drugstores is discovering amazing products. As I’ve mentioned in my previous IG story, I’m going to look for the perfect lip balm which can help me endure the trials of being under isotretinoin. Today, you’re going to know if I’ve found it through this Mentholatum lip balm review.

How very anticlimactic of you Amanda…

To be honest, I feel a little disappointed of myself right now. I woke up at 3:30 PM! It’s currently 5:57 PM and I’m just starting to write this review.

I missed Church Wednesday and the Catholic guilt is starting to creep in.

It’s a bit justifiable though because I’m going to church on Saturday as I was appointed as one of the godmothers of my friend’s baby girl.

Enough rambling and let’s get to it.

Mentholatum Lip Balm Review by Amanda of Filipinow

The packaging enticed me because it’s reminiscent of a very popular lip balm in Japan called Menturm.

The green retro vibe, the medicated look, and just about everything scream efficacy lol.

At only 99 PHP, it’s too good to be ignored.

Claims

  • Lip Protectant
  • Sun Screen
  • Prevents and heals dry chapped and sunburned lips
  • SPF 15

There’s no ingredients list which is a turn-off for me but I don’t really mind because it’s just a damn lip balm.

Now let’s continue this Mentholatum lip balm review with the most important detail…

My Experience

Mentholatum Lip Balm Photo

My lips are currently very dry and one crack away from bleeding lol. I need instant gratification.

Lip balms should deliver instant results. We’re not talking about skin whitening here and Mentholatum gave me just that.

Scent is minty (duh) and texture feels buttery when applied.

The balm is sturdy so you don’t have to worry about breaking it before reaching halfway the product.

What I love about it is apart from its alleviation of chapped lips, it doesn’t leave my lips with dry skin residue even without exfoliation.

Don’t you just hate putting lip balm and finding rolled bits and pieces of dry skin sitting on top of your lips? TMI and gross, I know!

Added to that is that it keeps my lips moist for around 4 hours which is long enough for me to be able to sleep soundly at night (mornight in my case).

I can’t find anything bad to pinpoint about this product apart from the lack of ingredients list.

Mentholatum Lip Balm Review Final Words
