Isn’t it frustrating to buy whitening deodorants and finding nothing that works? Today, you’re going to know if there’s something life-changing from this Dove Ultimate White Deodorant review.
Dove has this image of skin-friendliness which delivers ample moisturization (just don’t use their soaps on your face if you’re acne-prone). I’ve used a lot of their products and I love their soaps (their shampoos can choke). Their deodorants have been so-so for me in terms of efficacy but I love how they don’t darken my armpits further.
Now that you’ve discovered my general feelings about their products, let’s be more precise and head on to the…
Dove Ultimate White Deodorant Review by Amanda of Filipinow
To be honest, Dove deodorants had a permanent residency for years on my vanity up until I discovered the power of tawas.
It’s the only brand of deodorant that doesn’t irritate my skin and doesn’t darken my armpits.
Something safe but something that really hasn’t fully helped me in terms of underarm whitening.
Currently, I only use tawas-based products and I’ve noticed my underarms getting lighter overtime. However, there are days when I need more protection from sweat and odor and that’s when I cling back to deodorants.
The Dove Ultimate White deodorant looks like any other deo stick available in the market. Packaging is quite mundane and cannot be defined as an eye-candy. If you’re in a store, it’s surely not something that’ll catch your attention.
Luckily for them, I already like their brand and I have no problems with the wallflower appearance of their products.
What urged me more to buy this particular variant was the “ULTIMATE WHITE” label.
Dove’s notorious in claiming a lot of things that they can’t back up. I’m just putting up with their mediocre deodorants because they’re the only ones that don’t irritate and darken my armpits.
Let’s continue with the most vital part of this Dove Ultimate White Deodorant review…
Scent has a faint germicidal soap fragrance.
Around 5 swipes are enough for me to make my pits smell fresh for more than 24 hours.
The Dove Ultimate White deodorant doesn’t leave deposits on my clothes and is very good in controlling sweat.
Now comes the paramount promise… underarm whitening. *drum rolls*
Nope… it didn’t do anything to whiten my underarms.
Another disappointing product and they should just stop making “new” products that are just repackaged with very minor changes in the formula.
They should just label their deodorants for sweat and odor control and stop reaching for the stars with a grandiose claim such as “Ultimate White”.
I am in no way trying to tarnish their reputation. My thoughts are from YEARS of buying their “whitening deodorants”.
I’m interested to know if their products have helped you in your underarm whitening journey. Feel free to comment below.
Underarm Whitening: 1/5
Sweat and Odor Control: 5/5
