Congratulations! You’re reading this on a Thursday. The 2nd to the last day before you finally get to party! Alright, enough with the EXTRA introduction. Let’s move on to a more important introduction which deserves your attention. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome… the Tita Sunshine Sunflower Shampoo Bar review!
I know that shampoo bars have been in the beauty world for quite some time now. However, they’re still of novelty for me.
It’s the very reason why I’m ecstatic to share with you my review. Before I get stuck to being an excited puppy, let’s head to it.
Tita Sunshine Sunflower Shampoo Bar Review by Amanda of Filipinow
What made me say yes into trying the Tita Sunshine line is because it’s made by the same makers of one of my favorite skin whitening soaps.
From the get-go, even before being able to see the products, the appealing whiff of sunflower already hit me from the JRS package.
Sillage of all the products linger like perfume which gives you the nostalgic feeling of being able to smell scented paper for the very first time.
Tita Sunshine didn’t disappoint in terms of aesthetics. I love the unusual square shape that it has compared to other cleansing bars be it shampoo or soaps.
Color of the shampoo bar is faint gray which contrasts the fun and happy colors in the box. The etched sunflower on the bar made up for it though.
Fragranced heavily with sunflower which is a hit or miss. If you like floral scents, this is for you. However, I prefer something fruity when I’m in the shower.
Suffice to say, it all boils down to preference.
Tita Sunshine goodies are byproducts of Sunshine Farm Philippines which employs the differently-abled.
Added to that, they are free from chemicals, parabens, and animal cruelty topped with zero waste packaging!
I really have high respect for this company and I think big brands should follow suit. Yes Belo, I love you but you use way too much plastic.
Let’s head on to the most vital part of this review…
I personally prefer laundry, citrusy, or any clean scent whenever I shower so the smell is a so-so for me.
However, please bear in mind that it’s called a “Sunflower” shampoo bar for a reason so don’t expect it to smell like tangerines.
Lather of the shampoo bar is ample and you’ll feel like you’re using a regular shampoo.
I have bleached and damaged hair and I find that it can be quite drying and it tangled my hair like most shampoos would do. I need extra care so it’s not entirely Tita Sunshine’s fault.
Added to that, it made my hair’s brassy appearance more obvious.
Have you ever used Herbal Essences shampoo? This provides the same results. It’s like one of those premium free toiletries from hotels; doesn’t really target specific hair problems but does what a regular shampoo is supposed to do… cleanse.
I hope that it came with a conditioner combo because it doesn’t wow when used alone.
Let your hair down and shine with Tita Sunshine Sunflower Shampoo Bar, a sulfate-free solid shampoo that lasts for up to 60 washes! It’s botanicals and activated charcoal for clean, silky smooth, healthy hair every day.
Tita Sunshine Sunflower Shampoo Bar Review Final Words
If cleansing is the only help that you need from a shampoo, you’re going to like it.
The scent also lingers for up to 6 hours. However, for a person like me who has bleached and damaged hair with an addition of seborrheic dermatitis, this isn’t it.
I have the whole line and I like the other products but I’m going to separate my reviews because one particular product from Tita Sunshine deserves an article of its own.
Keep glued! By the way, I publish reviews every Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays now because of my new job. Feel free to ignore me out of those days.

PS: Here’s some added information about the shampoo bar. The creator sent me a message and explained something to me.

Hi Amanda!!! Thanks for the great Tita Sunshine Shampoo Bar review!!! One note though that I failed to mention, best to use the shampoo bar for at least two weeks to see the miracle that happens. Hair needs an adjustment period as it will remove the years of sulfate and silicone build up. Also best to use a conditioner during this adjustment period. It’s worth it I promise. It’s sulfate and paraben free and hair and scalp will be healthier.
