Let me preface this by giving a shout out to all of my sisters like me who have damaged hair! If you’re reading this, know that we are all beautiful beyond the witch’s broom that we proudly wear and call hair. Today, let me share with you this Cream Silk Damage Control Conditioner Review because I know you want it.
Yes, I’m pretty certain that you do so please don’t lie to yourself Mary Anne.
The very reason as to why I got this variant is because of the tag line. Damage Control sounds like a political move that’s drastic and will definitely deliver change.
It can also mean to cover up something really messy which I’m all for so let’s see if change is really coming.
Cream Silk Damage Control Conditioner Review by Amanda of Filipinow
The packaging is U G L Y and it has no alibi. Product is contained in the signature trapezoid conditioner plastic tube that Cream Silk always uses which I have no problem with.
However, the color… the color of the tube is dull silver.
It looks lazy and cheap and it seems like Cream Silk didn’t even bother to manipulate the original color of the container that’s straight out from the factory.
They were like “let’s slap the face of the model and our logo here and call it a day”.
Before you call me a hater, please know that I’ve reviewed numerous Cream Silk products already and I loved them all.
My personal favorite is the Cream Silk Triple Keratin Rescue conditioner.
Anyway, let’s move on to less trivial stuff from this Cream Silk Damage Control Conditioner Review.
Scent reminds me of old Cream Silk products which give off an unappealing chemical whiff.
I love the quirky hole and the faint pink color of the conditioner itself though.
Dispensing the cream is very easy as the texture is buttery (room temperature, lol) and silky smooth.
Ingredients are almost the same with Triple Keratin Rescue’s but for some reason, this one works way better in detangling my rat’s nest.
I only wash and brush my hair every other day because it’s thin. It often gets tangled and I really need something that’s going to make it look presentable to potential sugar daddies (I mean husbands… with an s, yes!).
Added to that, this one makes my hair very silky to the touch.
It does control damage but the only thing that I don’t like about it is it cannot get rid of the brassy look which Triple Keratin Rescue is amazing with.
Cream Silk Damage Control Conditioner Review Final Words
For hair health, it’s a very good product. Aesthetics and scent? Use Triple Keratin Rescue instead.
It only retails for less than a hundred PHP for 150ml of product; a definite steal!
