Nivea products are a hit or miss for me. I personally love their lip balms though. Their moisturizers including their lotions however, don’t really do my skin justice.
Nivea Soft Moisturizing Cream Review
by Amanda of Filipinow
I got this cream from my mom. One of her patients gave it to her. I didn’t want to use it until I saw it displayed on the drugstore as a new product.
I’m always happy to try new products because I think that with the ever-changing quality of skin care in today’s modern world, we should go out of our way to try them.
Companies spend a lot of money with research and who am I to look down on that?
Nivea Soft Refreshingly Soft Moisturizing Cream with Jojoba Oil and Vitamin E.
I know, not much help eh? I’m sorry, the rest of the writing in the packaging is in Arabic lol.
I love the tub used. It’s sturdy and it veered off from the brand’s usual style of dark blue.
Scent reminds me of the original Nivea Crème contained in the classic blue tin tub which is very appealing.
Let’s move on to less trivial stuff about this Nivea Soft Moisturizing Cream review.
Cream is a lot thinner than the original formula. I like how it’s easily absorbed by the skin but please know that it still feels dense and a little comedogenic.
I’ve only used it once on my face because it was enough to make my jaw feel like it’s going to breakout. However, the irritation stopped when I also stopped using it.
I think that this is good for people who have a more mature skin. I don’t think that it’s for people like me who have acne-prone skin. It’s much too oily and can be acnegenic to most.
However, if you have a normal skin type, I think you’re going to love the moisture that it delivers.
My face is normally very dry and flaky when I wake up but when I used this, it became really hydrated overnight.
Personally, I’m going to keep using it on other parts of my body such as my knees, elbows, and hands.
It is a very good product in terms of moisturization but it’s not very skin-friendly. You can always try it once and if it does the same thing with you and you get a breakout, stop using it immediately.
I’m not sure of its retail price but I know that it’s going to be affordable since it’s Nivea.
Again, this was given as a gift to my mom.
Efficacy (Hydration): 5/5
